This partnership focuses on sustainability, cultural preservation, and community growth, leveraging Horizon North’s expertise and Shared Spirits’ indigenous knowledge to create meaningful jobs and economic benefits for partner communities.

Job Description

WHAT'S THE JOB?

Janitors are vital team members responsible for maintaining site cleanliness. They work alongside the Lead Housekeeper and Camp Manager, adhering to company standards for quality and hygiene.

The role involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting, with amenities including:

• All meals and accommodations provided
• Travel arrangements from designated locations in Winnipeg, Red Lake, and surrounding areas
• Private room with cable TV
• Wi-Fi access
• Laundry facilities and detergents
• Access to a gym and common areas

Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing common areas, washrooms, management offices, and front desk
• Garbage and recycling collection
• Floor care, including sweeping and using the T-300 floor scrubber
• Refilling hand sanitizer stations to ensure continuous availability
• Maintaining a safe working environment at all times

Qualifications include:

• Experience in remote lodge or hotel/institutional cleaning; commercial cleaning is an asset
• Ability to commit to a 2-week on/2-week off rotation
• Team-player attitude focused on client satisfaction
• Good organizational skills to prioritize tasks
• Valid government-issued photo ID for travel
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, stand, walk, squat, kneel, or sit for extended periods, and perform repetitive hand work
