Job summary

Alberta Blue Cross is seeking a VMO Lead reporting to the Director, Head of Procurement, Facilities & Corporate Services. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, information systems, finance or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in vendor management or related IT/commercial roles.
• Experience resolving complex vendor-performance issues and influencing senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate the IT Vendor Management Office governance structures and reporting.
• Define vendor governance tiers, scorecards, remediation processes and escalation thresholds.
• Track VMO metrics: on-time deliverables, first-pass acceptance, spend coverage and cost avoidance.
• Manage vendor assurance activities for project-delivery vendors with PMO coordination.
• Lead resolution of complex vendor delivery issues across multiple teams and vendors.
• Develop and maintain vendor scorecards and quarterly business reviews for key platforms.
• Prepare evidence-based governance materials for sponsors, steering committees and executives.
