Job summary
Trans-Pro Logistics is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our IT team in Montreal. You will be the first point of contact for internal technical requests, working closely with the IT Director and an international team across Montreal and Colombia.
You will handle hardware, software, networking, and security duties, deploy workstations, manage user access, and resolve tickets while growing in a collaborative logistics environment.
Qualifications
- DEC in computer science technology (420.B0) or bachelor’s in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent
- Programming knowledge in at least one language (Python, C#, Java, JavaScript) and ability to read/modify existing code
- Experience in technical support is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Office environments
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN
- Proficiency in English and French, written and spoken

Trans-Pro Logistics is a third-party logistics (3PL) provider founded in 1989. We deliver truckload, less-than-truckload, intermodal and international freight solutions to clients across North America and beyond. We move our clients' freight reliably from end to end, combining the expertise of our teams with systems that track every shipment.
We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our IT team.
You will be the first point of contact for internal technical requests. You will work directly with the IT Director, alongside a team split between our Montreal and Colombia offices, which will give you full visibility into the infrastructure and systems of a transportation company.

- Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, C#, Java, JavaScript or other), and the ability to read and modify existing code
- Experience in technical support, a relevant internship counts
- Solid knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and office environments
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN
- Spoken and written English
- Spoken and written French
This role involves daily communication with international agents, carriers, and partners located outside Quebec, as well as with our IT colleagues based in Colombia. This requirement is directly related to the duties of the position, and Trans-Pro assessed reasonable means of avoiding it before imposing it.

Nous recherchons un technicien ou une technicienne en soutien informatique pour se joindre à notre équipe TI.
Vous serez le premier point de contact pour les demandes techniques internes. Vous travaillerez directement avec le directeur des TI, au sein d'une équipe répartie entre nos bureaux de Montréal et de Colombie, ce qui vous donnera une vue d'ensemble complète de l'infrastructure et des systèmes d'une entreprise en transport.
- Offrir le soutien technique de première ligne aux utilisateurs : matériel, logiciels, téléphonie, accès
- Préparer, configurer et déployer les postes de travail et les équipements
- Gérer les comptes utilisateurs, les accès et les mots de passe
- Installer et mettre à jour les logiciels
- Assurer le suivi et la résolution des billets de soutien
- Participer à l'entretien du réseau, des serveurs et des connexions à distance
- Appliquer les bonnes pratiques de sécurité : antivirus, sauvegardes, sensibilisation des utilisateurs
- Tenir à jour l'inventaire du matériel et la documentation interne
- DEC en techniques de l'informatique (420.B0), baccalauréat en informatique ou en génie logiciel, ou formation équivalente
- Maîtrise d'au moins un langage de programmation (Python, C#, Java, JavaScript ou autre), et capacité à lire et à modifier du code existant
- Expérience en soutien technique, un stage pertinent est considéré
- Bonne connaissance de Windows, de Microsoft 365 et des environnements bureautiques
- Notions de réseautique : TCP/IP, DNS, VPN
- Anglais parlé et écrit
- Français parlé et écrit
Ce poste implique des communications quotidiennes avec des agents, des transporteurs et des partenaires internationaux situés à l'extérieur du Québec, ainsi qu'avec nos collègues des TI établis en Colombie. Cette exigence est directement liée aux fonctions du poste, et Logistique Trans-Pro a évalué les moyens raisonnables de l'éviter avant de l'imposer.
