Job description

Our established Vancouver client is an industry leader in real estate development and management services. Currently they are leading some of the largest and most exciting projects in North America. We are thrilled to partner with them as they seek a talented IT Support Technician to join their growing team!

This is an on-site position based in downtown Vancouver. Reporting to Manager of IT, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating between the company and external vendors and contractors. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of IT equipment and software for residential and commercial spaces on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing Tier 1 / Tier 2 technical support to computers, networks and systems
• Troubleshooting and gathering information to address network, computer and system issues
• Coordinating and documenting Network Port Connections, Activation and Deactivation
• Managing and maintaining networks and computer systems
• Working with external contractors to fix on-site systems including Network Connections, Audio Visual and CCTV
• Preparing and maintaining documentation for systems and configurations
• Performing regular on-site audits and checks for systems and devices
• Day-to-day administrative and operational tech support to facility management offices
• Overseeing all access control break / fix requests with 3rd party integrator
• Providing on-site computer and user IT onboarding, offboarding and orientation
• Verifying installation, user security access, and maintaining equipment deployed by external vendor

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in network technologies such as routers, switches, wireless access points, VLANs and routing
• In-depth knowledge of network, router, switch and wireless
• Knowledge of Audio, Video, and CCTV
• Strong troubleshooting, multi-tasking and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
• Team-oriented, highly motivated and collaborative
• Ability to work some shift work, including weekends as needed
• Valid BC Driver's License required
