We are looking for an IT Support Specialist based out of our Toronto office to support our macOS client platform deployment and staff onboarding to deliver a seamless and consistent employee experience. As a key member of the IT Infrastructure team, you will work with a talented team of System Administrators responsible for supporting critical IT services.

What you’ll be doing…
  • Assist with new project rollouts that evolve our macOS and iOS client platform management infrastructure.
  • Support the macOS client deployment workflows built with Apple Business Manager, Simple MDM, and Munki for new and re-deployed devices.
  • Provision cellular lines and iOS devices for end users.
  • Support additional Tier 1 IT Infrastructure services as required (G Suite, Active Directory, SAML, Zendesk, Slack, Jump Cloud, O365, etc.).
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support for staff via ticketing system, real-time messaging, and in-person support when needed.
  • Monitor and resolve issues for on-site equipment, such as AV equipment in boardrooms.
  • Maintain asset management records in our tracking system.
  • Assist with new staff IT account creation, logistics, and onboarding training.
  • Maintain support documentation and internal knowledge base articles.
  • Assist in routine backup and disaster restore testing under IT team guidance.
What you’ll bring…
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of macOS and Apple technology (5+ years minimum).
  • Some knowledge of Python and Shell scripting is a plus.
  • Proven ability to explain technical issues clearly to end-users.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and vendors as needed.
  • Ability to lift hardware devices such as servers, routers, and switches.
  • Ability to write clear documentation for internal and client use.
  • Accountability: meeting commitments reliably.
  • Collaboration and teamwork: contributing meaningfully to the team and prioritizing group needs.
  • Problem-solving skills: organized, logical, and able to identify root causes; escalate when necessary.
  • Open communication: clear and attentive listening, asking relevant questions.

What you’ll learn…
  • How cloud-based global environments work with SaaS applications (G-Suite, Jump Cloud, Zendesk, Slack).
  • MDM experience with macOS and remote device management.
  • Managing open-source Mac OS management tools like Munki.
