The support technician provides telephone support for helpdesk and related processes, offering tier one IT support for hardware and software issues. Responsibilities include using help desk software to log and track calls, documenting incidents, routing calls, and notifying technicians of critical issues requiring immediate action. The technician must maintain skills to effectively communicate with users and escalate issues as necessary, and inform the Director/Manager of any significant problems affecting the department.
