Job summary

TD Securities in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking an IT Support Analyst for a full-time hybrid role. You will support Banking Operations technology applications in a global production environment, monitor application health, and manage incidents to ensure reliable IT services across the network.

Collaborating with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams, you’ll contribute to change management, automation, and proactive problem resolution, with opportunities for continuous learning and career

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with GDC, Kubernetes and container techs.
  • Strong knowledge of Banking Operations techs, payments, SWIFT.
  • Experience supporting multi-tier apps on physical hardware and VMware.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, SQL, Python, Java.
  • Azure cloud technologies knowledge: SQL, DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Splunk, Dynatrace, Autosys.
  • ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS/Math or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT application and end user support to keep system availability and performance steady.
  • Run proactive application health checks, to find and sidestep potential issues before they escape.
  • Handle production incidents from initial detection through full resolution.
  • Lead problem management activities for recurring technical troubles, and make sure the root cause is actually addressed.
  • Make sure production fixes are delivered on time, and with strong quality.
  • Stick to TD Securities change management procedures, especially for production updates and related releases.
  • Support disaster recovery testing, user attestations, and audit remediation work.
  • Offer after hours production support when business needs require it.

Job description

This IT Support Analyst role is a full time hybrid position with TD Securities, and it supports Banking Operations technology applications in a global 24×7 production setting. Basically it covers application support, incident management, system monitoring , and it helps make sure the reliability of critical banking technology platforms stays steady.

Day to day you’ll troubleshoot production problems, keep an eye on application health, handle incidents and help with change management activities too. You’ll also work alongside developers, business analysts , and infrastructure teams. It’s a good fit if you’ve worked in IT support already, or have experience with cloud technologies, and financial systems, in particular.

Job Description

  • In this position you’ll support Banking Operations technology applications inside a global production support landscape.
  • You’ll monitor how the applications behave and then address technical incidents when they show up.
  • It also means getting involved with payments and reference data apps that are used across global operations, pretty much all the time.
  • You’ll collaborate with development teams, infrastructure folks and business partners, to keep IT services dependable.

  • Hands-on background with Google Distributed Cloud (GDC), Kubernetes , and container techs.
  • Solid knowledge of Banking Operations techs, especially payments, settlements, and SWIFT messaging.
  • Experience in supporting multi-tier apps across physical hardware and VMware setups.
  • Understanding of financial markets, along with common banking products.
  • Ability to work along side developers business analysts and infrastructure teams, while keeping things aligned.
  • Familiarity with scripting , automation, and some practical process improvement, you know the usual.
  • Knowledge of ITIL styles of Incident Problem and Change Management.
  • Experience across Linux, Windows Server, Oracle, SQL, Python, and Java.
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud technologies too—SQL, DB2, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Splunk, Dynatrace and Autosys.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Mathematics or a related field is a nice plus.
