Job summary

PavCo’s Shared Services is hiring a Manager, IT Services to work across BC Place Stadium and the Vancouver Convention Centre. The role oversees the IT Help Desk and project delivery, driving service quality and stakeholder engagement.

The candidate will require a 4-year CS degree or 2-year IT diploma with enterprise IT leadership and hands-on VMware/Exchange/AD/Office 365 experience in dynamic event settings. Flexibility to support events outside regular hours is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 4-year University Degree in Computer Science or a 2-year IT diploma (preferred).
• Experience leading an IT Help Desk team in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with VMware, Exchange, Active Directory, Office 365.
• Experience with IT in the events industry is a plus.
• Strong ability to explain technical information to end users.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the Help Desk IT Services team, collaborating with leadership.
• Monitor and report Help Desk metrics to understand department demands.
• Utilize helpdesk software to log, prioritize, and manage issues to resolution.
• Identify repeating issues, trends, and requirements to improve service.
• Promote IT Services within the venues and build cross-team relationships.
• Serve as escalation point for internal teams and PavCo departments.
• Coordinate training and support for end users.
• Oversee day-to-day IT support at BC Place and VCC.
• Oversee MS Office 365 migrations and file-server integration.
