Job summary

IMP Solutions, based in Halifax, is seeking a motivated Service Desk Associate to join our Managed Services team. You will serve as the front line of IT support, providing timely assistance to end users and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, document resolutions, and collaborate with Tier 2 support and vendors as needed. Our team values integrity and professional development while delivering customer-centered solutions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Service Desk, Desktop Support, or Customer Service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as front-line technical support, responding to user inquiries and resolving basic computer issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Take ownership of end-user issues including ticket validation, scheduling, updates and documentation.
• Set up, configure, test and maintain PCs, monitors, docking stations, printers and multi-function devices.
• Provide IT support for Microsoft core business applications, operating systems and Office 365.
• Follow Service Desk procedures and escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support or vendors as required.
