Qualifications

The IT Quality Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. It applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributes to developing new techniques, and improves processes and workflows for the area or function. The role involves integrating subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area and requires an in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function, as well as how to coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. The analyst evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, involving weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Strong analytical skills are essential to filter, prioritize, and validate complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. The role may involve informal or formal leadership within teams and coaching and training of new recruits. The individual’s performance significantly impacts project size, geography, and decision-making by influencing others through advice, counsel, and facilitation. The performance of all teams in the area is directly affected by the individual’s work.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex process monitoring, product evaluation, and audit assignments; report issues and recommend solutions.
  • Monitor products and processes for conformance to standards and procedures; identify risks and suggest improvements; ensure annual reviews of standards and procedures are conducted.
  • Document findings, perform root cause analyses, and recommend improvements. Collaborate with technology teams to develop new standards and procedures.
  • Ensure corrective actions are assigned, documented, and completed; verify traceability; gather and maintain quality metrics reports.
  • Demonstrate sound understanding of concepts and principles within own technical area and basic knowledge of related areas.
  • Understand how own area integrates within IT Quality and possess basic commercial awareness.
  • Act as an advisor and mentor for junior team members.
  • Make evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information in complex situations and provide solutions.
  • Impact the team and related teams by ensuring quality of tasks, services, and information.
  • Communicate complex information effectively, demonstrating diplomacy skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the firm’s reputation, and escalating control issues transparently.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Data Quality/Analysis roles
  • At least 2 years of SQL experience
  • Proven execution capabilities
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, change management, and reporting skills
  • Experience with ETL projects involving multiple systems and data mapping
  • Understanding of technology architecture and ability to work with partners to configure solutions
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel for data analysis
  • SQL knowledge to understand data mapping
  • Understanding of data governance and data capabilities
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence
  • Project management experience preferred

Must-have skills:

  • Knowledge of Capital Markets, Banking Risk, and Stress Testing
  • Advanced SQL and MS Office skills
  • Intermediate Tableau skills
  • Advanced Data Analysis skills

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Python
  • Big Data, Hadoop

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
