Job summary

CIBC is seeking a Project Manager, IT to oversee day-to-day activities of complex IT projects, ensuring controls align with project performance standards. The role requires initiative in feasibility studies, business cases, and data analysis to produce effort/duration estimates for projects.

You will manage stakeholder expectations around scope and timelines. Details on work arrangement will be discussed in interview.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience in financial services or technology.
• Experience managing cross-portfolio projects in a matrix environment.
• Knowledge of SDLC and delivery methodologies (waterfall and agile).

Responsibilities

• Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements and costs.
• Create a resource plan that ensures stakeholders have a voice in the project.
• Identify risks and monitor milestones against timelines and budgets.
• Communicate progress with stakeholders and chair meetings.
• Mentor and lead project teams as needed.
