Alteo is lookking for an IT Project Manager for a permanent position based in Montreal.

Reporting to the Head of the IT Project Office, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of medium- and large-scale projects in a matrix environment, in collaboration with various IT teams, internal partners, and vendor teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Analysis and Planning
- Analyze and document business requirements, costs, and project feasibility.
- Define an appropriate project management strategy and governance framework.
- Draft the project charter and plan, specifying timelines, costs, challenges, and objectives.
- Ensure that deliverables are approved by the relevant authorities.
Project Management and Monitoring
- Plan, organize, and rigorously monitor project activities.
- Mobilize and coordinate project team members (project lead, technicians, vendors, etc.).
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders. Identify and manage issues, risks, and change requests.
Documentation and Processes
- Organize and facilitate project meetings and committees.
- Draft meeting minutes and ensure the documentation of processes and architecture.
- Oversee the updating of documentation and procedures related to information systems.
Implementation and Commissioning
- Ensure the implementation of communication and change management strategies.
- Plan and oversee deployments and technical testing.
- Oversee the handover of implemented solutions to production.
- Conduct post-implementation follow-up and provide user training as needed.
Project Closure and Evaluation
- Obtain final client approval for project closure.
- Produce a summary of achievements and identify lessons learned.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the project management framework.
PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as an IT project manager responsible for the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, with direct responsibility for objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables;
- 3+ years of significant experience in organizational change management;
- Significant experience in analyzing business needs and information systems;
- Experience in directly coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders;
- Experience in project management within the healthcare system (a plus);
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Knowledge of project management approaches and tools (Microsoft Project, Planner, or equivalent).
- Ability to communicate and write effectively
