What you can expect to do here:
A typical week would include:
- IT Infrastructure consulting in areas such as:
- IT Cabling Infrastructure, Network and Technology systems design
- IT Cabling Infrastructure, Network and Technology systems Contract Administration
- Physical IT Infrastructure Audits and Assessments
- Managing projects from concept design to project closeout, including: Concept Design Narratives, Schematic Design, Detailed Design, Construction Documents, Tender Review, Project Management, Construction Administration, and Project Closeout.
- Stakeholder engagement and requirements workshops with clients and stakeholders
- Developing client-focused solutions across a varied mix of IT Infrastructure and technologies
- Advising clients as a subject matter expert and representing WSP as leaders in the IT Infrastructure field
- Developing professional, client-facing documents, including technical specifications and reports, using tools like MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, Bluebeam Studio, and Adobe Acrobat
- Reviewing technical drawings developed using REVIT, AutoCAD, and similar tools
- Participating in technical and project meetings with diverse audiences
- Guiding less experienced team members in CAD/Revit project deliverables
- Collaborating with the local and wider Building Technologies team and other disciplines
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure consultancy
- Familiarity with alternative delivery models (Alliance, DBFM, Design Build, etc.) is an asset
- Experience in active networking preferred
- Proven experience managing large IT projects
- Commercial acumen
- Ability to deliver presentations effectively
- Ability to obtain a Public Works and Government Services Canada Level 2 security clearance
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, and willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends when necessary
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to client sites
