About your next Challenge as an IT Implementation Specialist:

The IT Implementation Specialist will provide support to the infrastructure and software team for troubleshooting and implementation of various IT solutions.

What will you do:
  1. Implement and manage servers and virtual machines (VMs).
  2. Configure and maintain firewalls and access control list (ACL) rules.
  3. Test and evaluate new technologies and applications.
  4. Install and test new applications to support a development team.
  5. Ensure the Server Lab is functional and reliable for dependent employees.
  6. Collaborate with a small, agile team to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the lab environment.
  8. Document configurations, procedures, and test results.
  9. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  10. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  11. Participate in the planning and execution of lab maintenance activities.
  12. Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
Required Skills and Experiences:
  • Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or relevant field;
  • 3-5 years of work experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Proven experience in server and VM implementation;
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls and ACL configuration;
  • Experience testing and deploying new technologies and applications;
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly;
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
  • Strong documentation and communication skills;
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset;
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;
  • Certifications in relevant technologies;
  • Organized, proactive, and focused on delivering results.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
  • Must meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
