  • Cybersecurity certifications are assets.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Salary Range: $63,323.32 To $80,295.12 Annually

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE:

Reporting to the Lead IT as an IT Administrator you will play a pivotal role in our IT department ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for day-to-day IT operations, monitoring systems for cyber security threats, and providing direction to support the organization's goals and objectives. Reporting to the Lead IT, this is a hands‑on role that requires significant technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Infrastructure Management – 45%

  • Oversee network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Manage Active Directory services, including user account management, DNS, group policy configuration.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard directory services from unauthorized access.
  • Evaluate hardware and software requirements based on business needs and technical specifications.
  • Forecast future infrastructure needs based on growth projections, usage patterns, and workload demands, and plan for scalability accordingly.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, to ensure timely delivery of products and services, resolution of issues, and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Oversee network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Manage Active Directory services, including user account management, DNS, group policy configuration.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard directory services from unauthorized access.
  • Evaluate hardware and software requirements based on business needs and technical specifications.

  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, to ensure timely delivery of products and services, resolution of issues, and adherence to contractual agreements.

Cyber Security Management - 15%

  • Manage DKIM, SPF, DMARC and other secure messaging parameters.
  • Manage endpoint detection and response (EDR) and email security solution.
  • Work with the Head of IT to develop and maintain data loss prevention (DLP) policies and procedures to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or exfiltration.
  • Manage MDR relationship and responses to ensure cyber risk is managed according to risk tolerance.
  • Work with the Head of IT to develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data and information systems.
  • Work with the Head of IT to maintain and manage incident response plans, business continuity plans, and disaster recovery procedures to mitigate the impact of security incidents and ensure the resilience of critical business operations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, evaluating new technologies and methodologies to enhance the organization's security posture.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and contractual obligations related to cybersecurity, conducting regular audits and assessments to validate adherence to security policies and controls.

Monitoring Mitigation and Continuity – 15%

  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans (BCPs) and disaster recovery plans (DRPs) to minimize the impact of disruptive events on business operations.
  • Continuously review and update data loss mitigation and business continuity plan in response to changes in technology, regulatory requirements, or business priorities.
  • Monitor progress of infrastructure, cloud and security projects against milestones and adjust as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
  • Oversee ticket management process and overall IT service management
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team on infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and IT operations best practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

  • Relevant experience include education with a focus in Computer Science or related field or equivalent hands‑on career experience.
  • 2 or more years' experience in a similar position
  • Microsoft cloud certifications (e.g. Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate) considered as assets.
  • CCNA or Cisco Meraki certifications (e.g. CMSS, CMNO) considered as assets.
  • Cybersecurity certifications are an asset.
  • Previous experience in effectively aligning IT initiatives with business objectives, managing resource allocation and budget constraints.
  • Strong proven ability to gather IT requirements from various stakeholders and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey project objectives, expectations, and updates to team members, stakeholders, and clients and the ability to tailor communication style to different audiences.
  • Proven ability to problemsolveand analyze situations for improvements.
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible in their approach.
  • Strong time management to timely completion of project milestones.
  • Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risks of a project.

The salary range for this position is non-union pay band 5 between$63,323.32 - $80,295.12 CAD depending on skills and experience. In addition to this, our employees will have the following package of additional benefits:
