Job summary

BC Public Service invites applications for the role of Technical Analyst Platform Administrator. Based in Vancouver with flexible telework options, this position supports on‑premises servers and cloud infrastructure, installs and maintains judicial websites and in‑house applications, and provides IT operations and end-user support to Provincial Court staff.

The ideal candidate has a relevant degree or diploma and hands-on experience with Windows Server, SharePoint, Exchange Online, M365, Azure

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree or diploma in a technology field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in on‑premises Windows infrastructure administration with related duties.
• Minimum 2 years managing Microsoft cloud services (M365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online).
• Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining websites.

Job Summary

The Team The Provincial Court of British Columbia strives to serve the public by providing an accessible, fair, efficient and innovative system of justice. Sitting at over 80 locations throughout the Province, the Court hears criminal, family, youth, and civil claims as well as traffic and municipal by-law matters. Most of the court cases in British Columbia are heard in Provincial Court, where judges and judicial justices preside over more than 225,000 cases each year. Integrated Judicial Services supports judges and judicial justices through administrative services and scheduling to facilitate fair, timely, and accessible justice for all British Columbians. The Court’s administrative headquarters is located at the Office of the Chief Judge in downtown Vancouver.

The Role The Technical Analyst, Platform Administrator, working in a team environment, is responsible for on-premises server administration and cloud infrastructure administration; the installation, configuration, programming and maintenance of judicial websites and in-house custom applications; responsible for providing IT operations and end user support for the Provincial Court Judges, Judicial Justices, and judicial staff throughout the province.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered;
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in on-premises infrastructure administration in a Windows environment (servers and applications; SharePoint, Exchange, Windows Server, SQL), including upgrades and change planning, coordination of changes, process improvement, technical documentation, and Tier 2/3 operational support;
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in designing and managing in a variety of Microsoft cloud technologies including, but not limited to Microsoft 365 platform management, Azure AD and synchronization with Active Directory, administration of user services on Exchange Online, MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), and other services; and
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in maintaining web sites.

About this Position:

This position is based in Vancouver
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to a few daysat home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies.
