  • You understand that business strategy drives technology innovation.
  • You don't look only for problems to solve but also bring alternatives to address a challenge while improving the company's security maturity.
  • You’re proactive and curious.
  • You first try to understand why things are the way they are and then adjust the course of action based on risk and business impact.
  • You have demonstrated excellence with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, and methodology development.
  • Your exceptional communication skills allow you to translate technical language for non-technical audiences and translate business language for non-business audiences.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and excellent listening, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • You’re as comfortable leading and mentoring a team as you are being an individual contributor.
  • You’re a team player and not a lone wolf.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, document and maintain an enterprise security architecture framework, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Conduct security risk assessments resulting in documented findings to either eliminate or mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with other IT groups to ensure hardening configurations are implemented for brand new and existing platforms and applications based on CIS.
  • Review technologies in cross-functional groups to protect the organization and enhance BCAA’s digital operational capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure recommended solutions comply with PCI-DSS and NIST standards.
  • Lead the design and evaluation of network architectures, applications, and cloud-based environments.
  • Investigate security incidents and collaborate on post-incident reviews, offering recommendations for remediation and prevention.
  • Ensure the security practices fit within business goals as well as the cybersecurity roadmap.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to identify innovative solutions to enhance BCAA’s security posture.

What you bring

  • CISSP, Undergraduate in Computer Science, Applicable Certifications or Diploma.
  • 10+ years of working in a security-focused role with a minimum of 2 years of architectural experience.
  • Knowledge of system design and architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, ESA is a plus.
  • Experience in multiple technologies used to protect all layers of an organization.
  • Hands-on experience with static and dynamic code analysis tools.
  • Extensive experience in implementing defense in depth strategies to safeguard organizations.
  • Expert in Incident Response best practices.
  • Proven experience in DevOps/DevSecOps, collaborating with development teams within an Agile framework.
  • Proficiency in cloud network engineering and architecture.
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with other team members.
  • Ability to create systems and consistent procedures and processes in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Proven ability to be proactive when dealing with issues and challenges.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
