Placements24 is seeking a skilled Irrigation Technician to support agricultural operations in Kimberley. You will install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal water delivery for crop health and yield, while troubleshooting malfunctions and implementing water-efficient solutions.
The role requires a strong technical aptitude, experience with agricultural water systems, and a commitment to water conservation in the arid climate of the area.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician or in a related field.
- Knowledge of different irrigation system types and operation.
- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues related to irrigation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, center pivot).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with irrigation equipment and water distribution networks.
- Perform regular inspections of irrigation infrastructure for functionality and issues.
- Operate and maintain tools and machinery used for irrigation installation and repair.
- Ensure efficient water usage and adherence to water management plans and regulations.
