Job summary

Southern Irrigation in Kamloops seeks an Inside Sales – Irrigation Specialist to support customers, provide technical irrigation advice, prepare quotes, process orders, and grow sales. The role blends hands-on customer service with a clear path to advancing into a sales position at our Kamloops location.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships, learn products, meet sales targets, and participate in training and industry certifications to expand irrigation application knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in inside sales within irrigation industry.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Knowledge of pricing, costs, margins, markups and currency considerations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to view situations from the customer perspective.
• Excellent organization, planning, and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable using CRM and sales-order software.
• Understanding of how customers evaluate cost, value, and ROI.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable, reliable service to customers by phone and email; some in-person visits may be required.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
• Prepare quotes and process orders; follow up on sales opportunities.
• Use CRM to create leads, track opportunities, and record customer information.
• Share knowledge, mentor others, and support teammates to manage workload.
• Attend product training and industry seminars and pursue relevant certifications.
