Job summary

Fortis Mining, Engineering, & Manufacturing is seeking a site-based Ironworker to install and dismantle structural steel per engineered prints, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. Successful candidates will read blueprints, install rigging, and manage hoisting tasks across underground or surface sites.

Applicants must hold an Ironworker Journeyperson certificate or be in an apprentice program, with fall protection certification and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of Ironworker Journeyperson Certificate or Apprentice level status; qualified Journeyperson preferred, willing to consider apprentice.
• Valid fall protection certification.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to use judgement and apply discretion when making decisions.
• Ability to work alone or in a team environment.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial, but not required.

Quality work and timely completion of all aspects of work performed is required.
