Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking an IPAC Lead to oversee infection prevention and control across Ontario and BC regions in a temporary full-time role based in Mississauga. You will lead a team, drive strategy and ensure regulatory compliance to safeguard residents and staff.

The role requires CIC or A-IPC certification, and you will implement prevention programs, conduct surveillance, analyze data and provide guidance to front-line teams.

Qualifications

• Certification in Infection Prevention & Control (CIC) or Associate IPC (A-IPC) is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in geriatrics in a clinical health setting.
• Fluent in English; advanced computer skills such as Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Participating in planning, development, organization, implementation and evaluation of Sienna infection prevention and control program.
• Providing infection prevention and control guidance for Ontario and BC Regions.
• Support Ontario Region clinically in a role similar to Regional Wellness Partner when required.
• Proactive prevention of dangerous infectious agents, outbreaks and epidemics.
• Implementing prevention strategies including education/consultation for frontline team members.
• Performing infection prevention and control surveillance, data analysis and implementation of best practices.
• Identifying trends and managing investigations of infections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
