Job summary

True Anomaly, Inc. seeks a Corporate Counsel, IP to own and mature the company’s IP program across hardware and software. You will identify, protect, and leverage proprietary technology and manage licenses, with close collaboration across engineering, product, and business teams.

You will also support general corporate matters, draft and negotiate contracts, and advise on data rights and government work. A J.D. and active U.S. bar are required, with 3–7 years in tech IP or related fields.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 3–7 years of legal experience, preferably including both law firm and in-house.
• Experience advising on patents, trade secrets, software, technology transactions, licensing, and IP ownership.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and translate complex legal information into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own True Anomaly’s IP strategy, including invention identification and protection across hardware and software.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage IP licenses and technology agreements.
• Maintain systems for tracking license terms and IP-related obligations.
• Advise on IP ownership, data rights, and licensing in government contracts.
• Provide general corporate legal support, including contract review and negotiation.
