The Government of Alberta invites applications for the role of Manager, Investment and Debt Accounting in Edmonton. You will lead a team of professional accountants responsible for accounting and financial reporting for debt portfolios, Heritage Fund, and public sector pension plans.

Reporting to the Director, you will ensure compliant financial statements, coordinate with the Auditor General, and drive innovation in investment and debt reporting while maintaining strong fiscal governance.

Qualificações

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with 4 years of related experience.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required or in progress with suitable experience.
• Experience with public sector accounting standards, IFRS, or pension plan reporting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead preparation of working papers and financial reporting for debt and investment portfolios.
• Coordinate with Treasury and Risk Management on debt issues and reporting systems.
• Review and approve journal transactions and disclosures in the Department's ledger.
