Job summary

Ontario Teachers’ is seeking an Associate to join the Services Group within the Private Capital team in Toronto. You will evaluate potential investments, execute transactions, conduct sector research, and support portfolio company management across North America.

Work with deal professionals on thesis development, platform/add-on acquisitions, and value creation planning. Strong financial modeling and due diligence skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Approx. 2 years of related work experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A advisory, or related fields.
• A finance/business degree from a recognized university.
• Experience building financial models (LBO, DCF) from the ground up.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new investments and determine attractiveness; conduct industry and company research.
• Build sophisticated financial models, arrange debt financing, review due diligence materials, and prepare memoranda.
• Support portfolio company management; attend board meetings when applicable.
• Develop investment theses and assist value creation, M&A, debt refinancings, budgeting and strategic projects.
