Job summary

Scotiabank in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking an Investment Associate to support a Wealth Advisor in developing and managing a client book. You’ll provide effective client service and contribute to business development and sales activities within a collaborative, growth-oriented branch.

You will identify opportunities to expand assets, leverage product knowledge to serve clients, and partner with specialists to deepen relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in the securities industry.
• Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional client service skills, providing a professional and respectful experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities to gather additional assets and/or increase revenue.
• Utilize knowledge of products and services to identify opportunities within existing client base.
• Work with Advisor and Total Wealth Specialists to deepen client relationships through total wealth planning.
• Prepare, analyze, and present reports and recommendations to clients.
• Develop and distribute client communication and marketing pieces with the Advisor.
• Lead and coach other associates on the team and within the branch; provide direction.
