Job summary

Fidelity Canada is seeking an Investment Analyst to provide product analysis, content for market communications, and collaboration with portfolio managers. You will support sales, marketing, and research teams while maintaining deep knowledge of Funds and ETFs.

The role requires a 4-year business degree and 3–5 years of investment experience, with CFA designation or master's considered an asset. Hybrid schedule and relocation from Toronto to Mississauga may occur.

  • Completion of a 4-year university degree in a business-related subject or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of investment market expertise.
  • Completion CFA designation or master’s degree is an asset.

  • Build and maintain strong working relations with investment staff, retail sales, marketing and institutional teams.
  • Ensure Funds/ETFs are optimally positioned for success.

  • Assist in development and analysis of thought leadership pieces.
  • Conduct competitor research and maintain understanding of competitor funds.

  • The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Reporting to the Director, Product Research, The Investment Analyst will provide sales, marketing, and portfolio managers with product analysis, expertise, and content for market and regulatory communications.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain and communicate an expert level of knowledge on assigned strategies (Funds/ETFs) and the capital markets in which they invest.
  • Build and maintain strong working relations with assigned investment staff, retail sales team, marketing, and institutional teams.
  • Products are fully supported with content, communications and messages aligned with FIC’s overall business and sales objectives.
  • Ensure that assigned Funds/ETFs are optimally positioned for success.
  • Support sales team members on ad hoc queries for product information and training.
  • Assist in the development and analysis of thought leadership pieces.
  • Conduct competitor research and maintain strong understanding of competitor funds based on your Fund/ETF coverage.
  • From time to time, participate in client interactions on assigned strategies.
What We’re Looking For
  • Completion of a 4-year university degree in a business-related subject or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of investment market expertise.
  • Completion CFA designation or master’s degree is an asset.

  • Excellent analytical, writing, oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with commitment to excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of VBA & Python is an asset.

  • Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus : Total annual cash compensation (base salary plus target bonus) ranges from $82,000 to $105,000 , based on your experience and qualifications.
