Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to join our Western Canada operations in Saskatoon, SK or Surrey, BC. This role focuses on inventory management, stock optimization and reporting to support production and customer service.

You will collaborate with Demand Planners and PSSRs, maintain stock parameters, oversee counts, and drive improvements while maintaining healthy NWC. We offer a pension plan with matching and extensive health benefits.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Project management or Logistics.
  • Inventory management experience.
  • Technical knowledge of heavy‑duty mining equipment considered an asset.
  • Strong computer systems literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Superior standard of interpersonal skills, which will contribute to teamwork, is required.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.
  • An in depth understanding of customer business processes.
  • Highly developed time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of initiative, drive, and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for stock, goods in transit, production stock and obsolescence reserve in the stockrooms of responsibility.
  • Responsible to analyze and maintain inventory parameters setting for standard assortment in the stockrooms of responsibility; including but not limited to various consignment stock levels.
  • Responsible for the strategic stock in the stockrooms of responsibility.
  • Ensures coordination with relevant stakeholders regarding any improvement activities related with inventory control.
  • Responsible for analysis and to drive stock optimization initiatives (i.e.: returns process) on regular bases.
  • Participate and support regional/global initiatives or projects as needed.
  • Provide support for inventory (consignment and warehouses) counts to comply with internal controls.
  • Focus on maintenance of NWC with respect to inventory planning/ maintenance (sustain healthy NWC while still maintaining support to customer’s active fleet).
  • Support Demand Planners in fleet forecasting and inventory management data with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planners and PSSRs to ensure that current fleet data (including meter readings, failure reports, ongoing maintenance strategies) are accurately reflected in stock forecasting.
  • Provide support for analysis, feedback and solutions to improve the operation of all Sandvik Mining equipment models located at a mine site.
  • Assist in analysis of new incoming equipment to sales area with targeted inventory planning in local stockrooms or select hubs as identified with key stakeholders.

Currently, we have an opening for an Inventory Coordinator. The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for inventory including inventory management, strategic stock process support and operational performance reporting.
