Job summary

Sandvik Mining in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Product Technical Specialist to train technical teams and end customers on underground drilling equipment within a digitalized, automated mining environment. You will provide pre-sales and post-sales support, including commissioning, installation, testing, and ongoing product training.

The role requires a Red Seal HD Equipment certification, 5 years of technical experience, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Red Seal HD Equipment certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience.
• Proficiency with hydraulic and electronic systems.
• Excellent customer relations and active listening skills.
• Strong investigation and diagnostic skills.
• Inclination to train and transfer knowledge to others.
• Willingness to travel up to ~70% and work in underground mines.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train technical teams in sales areas and end customers on underground drilling equipment.

• Guide internal stakeholders through product training and support.

What you will be doing

• Training technical teams in sales areas and end customers in digitalized and automized underground mining environment with focus on underground drilling equipment
• Training technical teams in sales areas and end customers in digitalized and automized underground mining environment with focus on underground drilling equipment
• Provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support to customers including commissioning, installing, testing, and maintaining products, equipment, and systems.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders though product training and technical support
• Troubleshoot, investigate, resolve, and develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.
• Monitor and resolve recurring more complex problems, collaborating with internal technical team, to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
• Establish and maintain ongoing positive relationships to secure and develop future business.
• Train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased.
