Job summary

Lineage is seeking an Inventory Control Technician to manage paperwork and processes for an efficient inventory system. You will maintain warehouse records, perform cycle counts, and reconcile data with internal records and customer counts.

The role requires forklift experience, 2+ years in warehousing, bilingual English/French, and a university or college credential. You'll contribute to loss prevention and customer service while supporting inventory reporting and security.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of warehouse and inventory experience.
  • Bilingual English/French required.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse systems, processes and procedures.
  • Forklift operator experience.
  • University degree or college diploma required; related post-secondary courses are an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain physical and record management of all inventory in the warehouse.
  • Check data in the WMS against records and actual counts; investigate discrepancies.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts and adjust system as needed.
  • Coordinate physical inventory procedures.
  • Process product returns and adjust inventory for over/short, defective, or damaged items.
  • Assist in preparing inventory reports for customers and internal use.
  • Resolve customer concerns or escalate as required.
  • Support loss prevention program.
  • Provide recommendations to improve inventory management.
  • Ensure security over inventory and limit access to records.

Job description

We are a growing organization and currently looking for a passionate and motivated Inventory Control Technician to join our winning team.

The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for all paperwork, processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and accurate inventory management system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains the physical and record management of all inventory within the warehouse.
  • Checks accuracy of data in WMS against customer and/or internal records and/or the actual count of product and reconciles inventory. Investigates and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Performs weekly cycle counts and makes system adjustments as necessary.
  • Coordinates physical inventory procedures.
  • Processes product returns.
  • Follows procedures to accurately adjust inventory for over/short, defective, and damaged product.
  • Assists in the preparation of inventory and other reports for customers and internal purposes.
  • Resolves customer concerns and/or escalates as required.
  • Assists in maintaining the loss prevention program.
  • Makes recommendations to the Inventory Supervisor to improve the management of inventory.
  • Maintains tight security over inventory. Ensures that only authorized personnel have access to inventory records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • 2+ years' warehouse and inventory experience.
  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Working knowledge of warehouse systems, processes and procedures.
  • Forklift Operator Experienced
  • University degree or College diploma is required; post-secondary courses in a related field an asset.
