Job description

Inventory Control Supervisor

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 3:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Purpose:

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the inventory control team through reporting, audits, caching, and inventory optimization. This position will collaborate closely with Operations leadership to meet inventory goals. The Supervisor will address inventory escalations with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Customer Experience, and vendors as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees the inventory control daily operations including inventory management, researching, and resolving inventory inquiries and processing adjustments as needed.
  2. Reviews and processes financial adjustments to inventory as needed.
  3. Develops and maintains slotting and capacity optimization.
  4. Conducts routine audits on cycle counters & inventory to ensure standard operating procedures are followed.
  5. Reviews and actions inventory reporting including but not limited to Dock/Trailer Report Review, MY529 NWXD Exception Report.
  6. Manages outside storage processes.
  7. Performs non-warehouse cross dock research.
  8. Coaches and trains associates on inventory processes, including managing talent and performance.
  9. Partners with local Operations leadership to meet inventory and service level goals.
  10. Performs other relevant job duties as required.

Education/Certifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Capability of being licensed to operate powered industrial equipment.
  • 3-5 years of relevant control experience or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience required.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse slotting systems required.
  • Proficient with reporting methods related to racking inventory.
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial data.
  • Effective communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good judgment, especially when supervision is not immediately available.
