Position Summary: This role leads the effective supervision and administration of the distribution centre's inventory management and compliance program. All supply chain activities from inbound freight scheduling, receipt, inventory management, quality incidents, and audits are supported by this leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the local inventory compliance team, ensuring they are properly resourced, trained, and organized to maintain high levels of supply assurance.
  • Oversees and administers Martin Brower’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) from an inventory management perspective.
  • Manages Phase In/Phase Out, New Product Introductions, Slotting, and expired products.
  • Monitors damage and distress programs, ensuring defective products are allocated and coded appropriately.
  • Leads standard receiving processes, monitoring productivity and accuracy.
  • Runs system reports to maintain data integrity.
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain team to optimize throughput, storage, and capacity.
  • Reconciles inventory discrepancies, focusing on financial performance.
  • Assists with quality audits to drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitors supplier quality claims within the Sync4S system.
  • Manages on-hold products, ensuring proper tagging and quarantine.
  • Oversees stock recovery processes, ensuring traceability.
  • Uses data analytics to identify issues and recommend improvements.
  • Verifies and manages temperature probes used in quality inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certification.
  • 3-5 years experience in food handling distribution or processing systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and influencing skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with clear action planning.
  • Attention to irregularities and exceptions.
  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills.
  • Accountability and coaching abilities.
  • High initiative, self-motivation, and leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, mainly in Canada & US.
  • Must pass background and drug tests.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual (French/English).
  • Strong data and analytical skills.
  • Lean methodology experience.
  • GFSI quality program knowledge.
  • HACCP certification.
