Job summary

Teknion is seeking a Receiving and Inventory Control associate in Ontario to handle receipt, inspection, and ERP entry, ensuring accuracy of product, quantity and quality in line with our production schedule. Responsibilities include daily cycle counts, adjustments, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with production and purchasing to optimize inventory.

A secondary school diploma and teamwork skills are required; experience with inSight is a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school grade twelve(12) or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and with team members.
• Proficient in reading production orders and interpreting drawings and production schedules.
• Previous experience as receiver and inventory control.
• Experience in inSight is an asset.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Check incoming goods and complete all necessary paperwork and/or entry into the inSight system with accuracy (correct product, quantity, quality).
• Identify shortages, damaged goods, backorders and elevate issues to management when necessary.
• Perform inventory cycle counts daily and coordinate with production and purchasing to ensure accuracy of inventory levels and safety stocks.
• Make daily inventory adjustments and record them in the ERP system with root cause analysis and management approval.
• Monitor inventory levels and advise management of low stock and safety stock issues.
• Communicate with production supervisors, team leads and purchasing to monitor inventory activities and assembly requirements.
• Provide support to achieve efficient inventory management and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and maintain reports on variances and cycle counts progress with management.
• Work with purchasing and plant management to identify continuous process improvements for optimal inventory levels.
• Provide hardware to assemblers, issuing stock to workbenches and providing kits based on production schedule.
• Act as a key resource during physical inventory counts and maintain shelf labels and locations.
• Comply with OH&S acts and regulations and wear required PPE.
• Identify hazards and report incidents, injuries, and occupational diseases.
• Report on workstation performance and opportunities for improvement in quality, health & safety and environment.
