The role reports to the Logistics Manager and focuses on inventory accuracy, trend analysis, and supporting production planning. The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in supply chain or a related field, at least two years in inventory control, and strong Excel/ERP skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
• Analyze inventory usage, turnover, obsolescence, and variances.
• Generate inventory reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory and improve turns.
• Ensure ERP system transactions are accurate and compliant.

Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to join their manufacturing team. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, the Inventory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring inventory accuracy, analyzing inventory trends, supporting production planning, and ensuring optimal inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting efficient manufacturing operations within a fast-paced plastics manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities to include the following but not limited to:

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across raw materials, packaging materials, WIP, and finished goods.


• Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliations.


• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.


• Analyze inventory usage, turnover rates, obsolete inventory, and stock variances.


• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production Planning, Warehousing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.


• Generate and maintain inventory reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.


• Support month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation processes.


• Identify opportunities to reduce excess inventory, improve inventory turns, and minimize stock shortages.


• Monitor inventory transactions within the ERP system to ensure accuracy and compliance.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and supply chain efficiency.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.


• Minimum two (2) years of inventory control, inventory analysis within a manufacturing setting


• Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset.


• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, forecasting, and supply chain operations.


• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
