Inventory Analyst

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and accuracy. This role involves data analysis and forecasting to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, improve inventory turnover, and support operational efficiency. The Inventory Analyst collaborates closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams. The role covers all supply chain activities.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the supply chain process and inventory levels.
  2. Track inventory from manufacturing through transit to delivery, ensuring timely replenishment.
  3. Reconcile inventory across locations and identify discrepancies.
  4. Conduct physical counts; investigate, determine root causes, and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Manage inventory forecasting and participate in the S&OP process by creating inventory plans based on sales forecasts, historical data, and market trends.
  6. Monitor stock levels and adjust safety stock parameters as needed.
  7. Coordinate with warehouse and 3PL to ensure timely order delivery.
  8. Align supply chain activities with production schedules.
  9. Record received products in inventory systems.
  10. Prepare Excel models considering inventory on hand, demand, and replenishments.
  11. Generate inventory reports showing counts, orders, statuses, discrepancies, and KPIs like stock accuracy, inventory days, and order fulfillment rates.
  12. Recommend process improvements to optimize inventory control and reduce costs.
  13. Maintain inventory databases and systems.
  14. Create purchase orders as needed.
  15. Perform Min/Max analysis and right-sizing to ensure optimal inventory levels.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of inventory management experience.
  • University degree in Business or related field.
  • Proficient in computer skills; intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., SAP Business One).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of inventory systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
