Job summary

Kakivak Association in Iqaluit invites applications for a Business Development Officer to support Inuit entrepreneurs and small businesses across the Qikiqtani Region. You’ll assess needs, provide practical guidance, and connect clients with programs and services.

With 2–3 years in business development or related client service, you’ll build partnerships with communities and public bodies, promote services, and help clients advance plans from start-up to growth while maintaining privacy and file

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related experience in business development or counseling, entrepreneurship support, community economic development, or similar client-service role.

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs and explain programs and services, helping clients identify practical next steps for startup, growth, or expansion.
• Provide business advice and technical support in planning, budgeting, bookkeeping, cash flow, marketing, licensing and regulations.
