Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada is offering an Internship – Winter 2027 in Manufacturing engineering with an improvement focus at our Longueuil Manufacturing Center. The role centers on promoting CORE tools within a continuous improvement framework and supporting initiatives across the site.

You will work with a dynamic team on visible projects. We seek bilingual candidates, enrolled at a Canadian university, able to work on-site, and ready to engage in structured meetings and training around CORE tool

Internship dates: January 5th to April 23th , 2027.

Location: The position is based at our Longueuil Manufacturing Center location; internship from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Manufacturing engineering, improvement focus

The student takes on the responsibility of promoting the CORE tools of the new continuous improvement system throughout the organization. The role includes activities such as supporting and guiding the implementation initiatives within the manufacturing center. Initiatives range from organizing work areas to establishing manufacturing standards and driving initiative production. Teamwork and leadership skills are essential.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • You Support the commitment of hourly employees in using CORE tools through several weekly meetings to structure the approach for the entire Longueuil manufacturing center.
  • Supervise the continuous improvement initiatives defined in the annual plan by participating in or supporting employees.
  • Reinforce the culture of continuous improvement by using CORE tools on a daily basis (training, communication, workshops).
  • You will work within a dynamic team focused on achieving set objectives. This position allows you to work on highly visible and evolving projects within an innovative team

What do you need to be successful?

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Fast learning and self-reliant
  • Good ability to work as a team and communicate
  • Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written
  • Good priority management
  • Knowledge the MS Office suite software, Power BI
  • Basic knowledge in manufacturing environment

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
