Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil invites an internship in Electrical Engineering to join the Met Team and work on automating calibration carts for test benches and the Metrology Lab. You will record instrumentation data, document it in the metrology database, and help configure calibration parameters for different measurement classes.

This on-site internship requires being enrolled at a Canadian university, eligibility to work in Canada, and ability to work five days a week.

Qualifications

Flexible Schedule: Schedule to be discussed; On-site presence required 5 days a week. 38.75h per week.

What your day-to-day will look like?
  • Record instrumentation data from measurement chains in test benches.
  • Document collected information in the metrology database.
  • Configure calibration parameters for various measurement classes.
  • Test and validate automated calibration procedures.
  • Optimize visual instructions.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team spanning multiple areas of expertise.
What do you need to be successful?
  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Ability to understand electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with basic database principles.
  • Understanding of physics and electrical concepts.
  • Pursuing studies in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Automated Production.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
