Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Design Coordinator Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting major construction projects across Canada. You must be enrolled in a Civil Engineering program and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive learning mindset.

This internship offers mentorship, professional networking, and potential pathways to future roles, with exposure to design, procurement, and site coordination in a dynamic office environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in facilitating communication between designers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Monitor design schedules and track progress for timely reviews.
• Support design inputs, requests, and responses management.
• Participate in RFI and Quality Review processes to ensure clarity.
• Review feedback and coordinate design decisions for procurement and construction.
• Help prepare presentations for stakeholders and maintain organized docs.
• Assist in organizing design workshops and document meeting outcomes.

Job description

To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Reside in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.

What you will do
