Job summary

Pomerleau is offering a Design Coordinator Intern role to support major construction projects across Canada. This internship provides hands-on experience in design coordination, with access to mentors and real project exposure.

Applicants must be enrolled in a Civil Engineering program and ready to contribute to procurement, design reviews, and documentation. The program emphasizes collaboration, learning, and growth within a leading national contractor.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering program.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of the internship.
• Enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or graduated within 6 months prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Help facilitate communication between designers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Monitor design schedules and track progress to ensure timely reviews and submissions.
• Support the management of design inputs, requests, and responses.
• Participate in the RFI and Quality Review processes, ensuring clarity and relevance.
• Review feedback and assist in coordinating design decisions related to procurement and construction.
• Contribute to presentation preparation for key stakeholders and maintain organized documentation.
• Assist in organizing design workshops and documenting meeting outcomes.

To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Reside in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.
