Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an Internal Technician for the Night Shift in Calgary, AB. Based at 2234 Portland St SE, you will install coils, humidifiers, filters and dampers following Manufacturing Standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.

Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. SSM has garnered a hard-earned reputation for customer service, quality and reliability. To support its growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add an Internal Technician to the Production team.

This is a Night Shift Position from 3:00pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday.

This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee will be responsible for installation of coils, humidifiers, filters and dampers in accordance with Scott Springfield's Manufacturing Standards.
• Employee is responsible to perform the above mentioned, and any other tasks assigned to them in a safe manner and in accordance with our Health & Safety Policies, JHA's & SWP's.
• Employee is responsible to understand and follow all Company Policies and Rules.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and be able to work independently.
• Must exhibit safe work practices.
• Must be willing to work in other areas of our facility as required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment an asset
• Must be able work OT on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Forklift and Crane Operator certified.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, Quality and Health & Safety.
• Comfortable working in loud environments (hearing protection required).
• Steel toed boots (CSA Approved 6' in height or greater) required.
• Comfortable working at heights (Fall Protection Training Provided).
• General understanding of engineering and sheet metal principles.
• Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape, etc.).
• Safety Requirement – Respirator Use: This position may involve tasks requiring the use of a respirator. In accordance with occupational health and safety standards, all employees must be clean-shaven where the respirator seals to the face to ensure proper fit and protection. Compliance with this requirement is mandatory for employment in this role.
