Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Calgary is seeking a Casing Technician for the night shift (3:00pm–1:30am, Monday–Thursday). The role is based at 2234 Portland St SE, Calgary, Alberta, and involves performing all Casing Functions per standard practices.

The position requires Grade 12 or equivalent, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work OT. Candidates must be comfortable in loud environments and must wear safety footwear and respiratory protection as required.

Qualifications

• Must pass safety policies and wear respirator; clean-shaven to ensure proper seal.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work OT on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Must work in loud environments; hearing protection required.
• Must wear CSA-approved steel-toed boots (6’ height or greater).
• Must be able to work at heights (Fall Protection Training Provided).
• General understanding of engineering and sheet metal principles.
• Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape, etc.).

Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. This is a Night Shift Position from 3:00pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday.

This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee will be responsible for performing all Casing Functions in accordance with Scott Springfield’s Manufacturing Standards.
• Employee is responsible to perform the above mentioned, and any other tasks assigned to them in a safe manner and in accordance with our Health & Safety Policies, JHA’s & SWP’s.
• Employee is responsible to understand and follow all Company Policies and Rules.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and be able to work independently.
• Must exhibit safe work practices.
• Must be willing to work in other areas of our facility as required.
• Must be able work OT on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment an asset
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, Quality and Health & Safety.
• Comfortable working in loud environments (hearing protection required).
• Steel toed boots (CSA Approved 6’ in height or greater) required.
• Comfortable working at heights (Fall Protection Training Provided).
• General understanding of engineering and sheet metal principles.
• Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape, etc.).
• Safety Requirement – Respirator Use:
  This position will involve tasks requiring the use of a respirator. In accordance with occupational health and safety standards, all employees must beclean-shavenwhere the respirator seals to the face to ensure proper fit and protection. Compliance with this requirement is mandatory for employment in this role.
