Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an Associate Physician to deliver acute care under supervision across Foothills Medical Centre, Rockview General Hospital, Peter Lougheed Centre and South Health Campus in Calgary. You will work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and dietitians, performing examinations, documenting history and building treatment plans.

The role includes formal orientation and assessment for international medical graduates, with supervision from CPSA and AHS Medical Staff, and

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in Canada and English proficiency.
• Medical degree from outside Canada/USA with at least one year of supervised hands-on training after undergrad.
• Passed MCCQE Part I and stayed currency in practice within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and document history.
• Develop treatment plans in consultation with supervising physicians and write orders.
• Enter orders into the patient care system and provide supervision and support during orientation.
