Job summary

Tourmaline Oil Corp. in Calgary is offering an Internal Controls Summer Student position for a May–August term.

The role provides exposure to Financial and Operations Accounting, Treasury, Marketing, Production Accounting, and external auditors, with hands-on work documenting, updating and testing controls. You will attend walkthroughs, help refresh control documentation, and support testing of key processes.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in university or college.
• Preference will be given to students who have completed their 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies with a major in finance or accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Visio) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Update control documentation (including flowcharts) for all key processes.

Tourmaline is a Canadian senior oil and natural gascompany focused on long-term growth through anactive exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western CanadianSedimentary Basin.

We are currently seeking an Internal Controls Summer Student to join our Calgary office. This is a term position beginning in May 2027 and running for approximately four months.The Internal Controls Summer Student role offers a unique opportunity to connect with many groups within the organization, including Financial and Operations Accounting, Treasury, Marketing, Production Accounting, as well as Tourmaline’s external auditors, and will play a key role in documenting, updating and testing key controls and processes.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:

• Attend walkthrough meetings with control owners and external auditors
• Update control documentation (including flowcharts) for all key processes
• Assist in the testing of key controls and processes

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate needs to have experience in the following areas in order to be qualified for this role:

• Must be currently enrolled in university or college
• Preference will be given to students who have completed their 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies with a major in finance or accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including Visio) is considered an asset
