Noble Corporation is seeking an Internal Auditor to provide value-added services across the company, offering training and collaborative solutions to boost profitability and control environments. The position requires at least 3 years in business/accounting/operations with CPA/CIA as a plus; travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Act as a business advisor to Profit Centre Managers across Ontario.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes with strong business judgment.
  • Assess situations quickly and propose actions to meet needs of the profit centres.
  • Perform operational, process and financial reviews of all business units.
  • Identify risks and propose innovative approaches to mitigate them and strengthen controls.
  • Participate in due diligence, fraud investigations, improvement teams, external audits, etc.
  • Review large data sets and derive conclusions and recommendations on internal controls, cash flow, information security, health and safety, efficiency and profitability.
  • Serve as a conduit between profit centres and Noble’s National Support Centre.
  • Support changes to systems and practices initiated by the National Support Centre through training and communication.
  • Draft Standard Practice Instructions and Job Aids to communicate controls clearly.

The Internal Auditor will be responsible for providing value added services to internal customers throughout the company. Our approach is to offer training and collaborative solutions to improve the success and profitability of each business unit. The team also provides assurance to senior management regarding the control environment and risk assessment of the organization within an entrepreneurial, multi-location environment.

How you Contribute to Noble's Success
  • Acting as a business advisor to a network of profit centre and Profit Centre Managers across Ontario
  • Possessing strong business judgment and the ability to identify opportunities to improve business processes
  • Assessing situations quickly and coming up with a course of action to best meet the needs of the profit centre and their teams
  • Performing operational, process and financial reviews of all business units
  • Proactively identifying risks and finding innovative approaches and solutions to mitigate risks and improve business controls
  • Participating as an advisor in a wide variety of issues including acquisition and divestiture due diligence, fraud investigations, improvement teams, external audits, etc.
  • Reviewing and analyzing large amounts of information and drawing informative conclusions and recommendations, covering such areas as the internal control environment, cash flow, information security, health and safety, operational effectiveness, efficiency and profitability
  • Being a conduit between the profit centre and Noble’s National Support Centre
  • Supporting through training, communication and project involvement, all on-going changes to company systems and practices initiated by Noble’s National Support Centre
  • Writing Standard Practice Instructions (company policies manual) and Job Aids to ensure necessary controls are communicated clearly and unnecessary steps are eliminated
  • Having a strong controls mindset, maintain strict confidentiality in all work and the ability to remain objective and independent
  • Participate in special projects as required
Must Haves
  • Prospective candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years work experience in business/accounting/operations, a CPA/CIA designation is a plus.
