Fujitsu is offering a 6‑month internship for a highly motivated student interested in developing a unified MLIR‑based compiler targeting Fujitsu’s next‑generation architecture.

The architecture features a heterogeneous compute fabric with multiple hardware components, requiring sophisticated compiler infrastructure to optimize AI workloads across diverse hardware components. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced compiler engineers and researchers on real‑world challenges in IR design, hardware‑aware scheduling, and AI model optimization.

Required Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C++.
  • Experience with Linux or Unix-like development environments.
  • Familiarity with Python or scripting languages.

Fujitsu salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each situation. The pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: specific skills, qualifications, experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. The pay range for this position is estimated at $18/hr. to $23/hr. CAD.
