Job summary

Bombardier in Mississauga invites engineering students to join a hands-on project management internship. You will support planning, tracking and reporting for technical projects in a multidisciplinary team.

The program emphasizes innovation and technology, requires two years completed in university, and offers a hybrid work setup with occasional travel for training.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university-level engineering program (aerospace-related) with at least two years completed.
• Experience or strong interest in project management.
• Strong interest in innovation and technology development.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent influencing skills.
• Motivated, curious and independent.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and take leadership when required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, Power Query).

Responsibilities

• Support the project management activities of technical projects (planning, execution, monitoring and control).
• Develop, track and update the project schedule.
• Prepare, monitor and report financial, schedule, and scope aspects of the project.
• Establish a regular monitoring process with project stakeholders.
• Prepare and run weekly presentations covering the progress of the project.
• Help improve project management processes (risk and opportunity, change management, project improvement and gate reviews)

It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates. The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $17.95 to CAD $31.00 per hour. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications. All our interns may be required to occasionally travel outside of Canada for training/work purpose.
