Job summary

Capital One Canada is offering a Summer 2027 internship in Process Management. You will help design, manage and optimize business processes across the enterprise, working with cross-functional teams to deliver quality results on time and within cost goals.

The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma approaches, change leadership, and collaboration in a hybrid work environment with in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays. Applicants should be pursuing an undergrad degree with 2027 or later graduation.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree at a Canadian university with graduation date in or after 2027.
  • Preferred: pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Commerce, Business Admin, or Engineering.
  • Familiar with Lean/Six Sigma or process-improvement methodologies.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage and optimize business processes to meet quality, time and cost goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product launches and continuous improvement.

About the role

The Process Manager applies their skills to the design, management, and optimization of business processes. You’ll also get to join fun social networking events and connect with other Process Managers across the business. You will work with extended teams across the enterprise and supply chain structure to ensure that the bank’s business processes are performing optimally and that business strategies are implemented within quality, time and cost goals. We’re always looking for creative ways to offer digital solutions that make sense for our customers. With your help, we’ll build the next generation of banking in Canada based on customer-focused values, compelling products and great engineering.

Process Managers have the opportunity to:
  • Play a key role in Capital One’s lean transformation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams as they execute marketing, operations, and other business strategies - ensuring we deliver exceptional products and services to our customers
  • Apply management skills such as communications and change leadership to help drive key priorities like product launches, technology changes, and continuous improvement
  • Use of various techniques and tools to define, manage and improve processes, like Visual Management, Business Process Management, Lean, and Six Sigma
  • Apply different methods for process improvements such as variation reduction, waste elimination, and risk mitigation techniques
Basic Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree or higher from an accredited Canadian University with an expected graduation date in or after 2027.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree/master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
  • Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma/Process Improvement tools & methodology
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and superior analytical skills
  • Enjoy working in teams and collaborating with others
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, ever-changing environment; being flexible and open to new ideas and requirements that will enable you to thrive.
