Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an intern for Manufacturing Engineering (Winter 2027) at Marcel-Laurin Plant 1. The role involves introducing new components into aircraft assembly, resolving issues, and improving delivery processes. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and may travel outside Canada for training.

Open to students in engineering with CATIA V5 knowledge; SAP is a plus. Expect a hybrid work arrangement and a four-month commitment.

Qualifications

• Currently a university student in an engineering field (e.g., Mechanical).
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills with big-picture mindset.
• Knowledge of CATIA V5; SAP is an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• Enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams (methods, engineering, procurement, tooling, production, logistics).

Responsibilities

• Manage short- and/or medium-term projects for introducing new components into production for aircraft assembly.
• Participate in resolving operational and technical issues.
• Contribute to developing and optimizing delivery processes and First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Support development/improvement of tracking tools for these processes.
• Contribute to development or enhancement of performance indicators.
• Audit processes to ensure proper execution and provide improvement recommendations.

What are your contributions to the team?

How to thrive in this role?

• You are currently a university student in a field related to engineering, such as Mechanical Engineering, or have equivalent relevant experience.
• You possess strong analytical and synthesis skills, along with a broad, big-picture mindset that allows you to assess the impact and implications of strategic decisions.
• You have knowledge of CATIA V5 (knowledge of SAP would be considered an asset).
• You have a foundation in project management and are proficient with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
• You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams (methods, engineering, procurement, tooling, production, logistics).
