Job summary

CC&L Financial Group is seeking an Intern to join the Institutional Portfolio Operations Team for an 8-month term (Jan – August 2027). The Intern will gain exposure to the asset management world, assisting with client subscriptions, billing, and AUM reporting while supporting senior teams.

Ideal candidates are in their 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate studies in business/finance with strong Excel skills and a genuine interest in investments.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students in their 3rd/4th year pursuing business, commerce, or finance.

Responsibilities

• Process client subscription and redemption instructions daily for trading teams.
• Calculate management fees for institutional clients monthly and quarterly.
• Administer AUM reporting and prepare monthly/quarterly reports for Investment Teams and leadership.
• Support automation, efficiency, and scalability projects within IPO services.
• Communicate portfolio information and safeguard sensitive data across CC&L affiliates.

CC&L Financial Group is seeking an Intern to join the Institutional Portfolio Operations Team for an 8-Month term (Jan - August 2027).

When you join the Institutional Portfolio Operations (IPO) team as an Intern, you are joining a group of tightknit, energetic, and social individuals, who together have a direct impact on the investment success of individuals, pension funds, foundations and endowments, First Nations and other institutional clients.

The Institutional Portfolio Operations Intern is a critical part of our firm and clients' success and is a challenging and rewarding role for the right individual. You will experience the inter-workings of the asset management world and will have the opportunity to advance your skills for future growth and development.

What You Will Do

• Institutional Cash Notice: Process client subscription and redemption instructions daily in preparation for the trading teams.
• Institutional Billing: Process management fee calculations for institutional entities including clients, funds and affiliates on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Assets Under Management (AUM) Reporting: Administer the AUM reporting process, preparing monthly and quarterly reports for Investment Teams, Sales Team, RFP Team and Upper Management.
• Participate in operational projects focusing on automation, efficiency, and the scalability of IPOs services.
• Communicate critical portfolio information and oversee the flow of sensitive information for all CC&L affiliates.

The base salary range is $45,000 - $55,000 CDN annually. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
