Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking an Estimation Intern to support major construction projects across Canada. You will gain hands‑on experience in bid development, pricing of labor, equipment and materials, and take‑off work to ensure precise contract specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the comprehensive bid process with precision and excellence.
• Identify project pricing for labor, equipment, and materials from technical specs.
• Execute quantity take‑offs ensuring accurate contract pricing.
• Foster client centric bids aligned with project feasibility.
• Build relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients.
• Support the team and contribute to a collaborative office environment.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Reside in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post‑secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.

• Lead the comprehensive bid process with a commitment to precision and excellence.
• Employ research expertise to identify project‑specific pricing for labor, equipment, and materials. Skillfully interpret technical specifications for accurate and meticulous bidding.
• Execute thorough quantity take‑offs, guaranteeing precision in contract specifications and pricing.
• Foster a client‑centric approach, aligning proposed bids with project feasibility.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with trade partners, consultants, and clients.
• Provide valuable assistance to the team, actively contributing to a collaborative office environment.
